    I'm Lauren and this is a blog dedicated to living life with a healthy balance. I love to run, strength train, bike and just be downright active. I'm a marathoner as of April 24, 2010 and am currently looking forward to qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

    I absolutely love to eat and enjoy great food but doing it all in moderation. You'll see healthy, organic foods on here frequently but you'll also run into things such as pizza and sweets. I believe you can have it all... just not all at once.

Home Sweet Home

We are home! Ah, it feels good to be back in our own environment again. Our trip back went fairly quickly but I was quite snacky.

I ate a mandarin when we stopped for gas.

Then I decided a little bit later that eating the Clif Z bar for kids that I snagged at the 10k a few weeks ago was necessary. The hubs and I split it.

Verdict: I really liked it and will definitely be getting these in bulk at Sam’s Club next time we go.

After a quick cat nap and some reading, I decided that an hour before we were to arrive in Louisville, it was time for dinner. I wasn’t too terribly hungry but knew I wanted to eat something then before getting home because we didn’t have much thought out for dinner. I decided an apple and 3/4 tbsp. of peanut butter was the perfect dinner.

We finally got home and I immediately hopped in the shower, unpacked, packed breakfast, lunch and snacks for work tomorrow and sat down to eat a sweet treat. I polished off the rest of the Thin Mint Girl Scout Edy’s ice cream. It was just enough to fit in a small mug.

I’m satisfied and now watching Amazing Race and winding down for bed. It’s back to work tomorrow for the week so I’ve got to get some rest! I’m so worn out from traveling 13 hours today that I don’t think it’ll be hard to be fast asleep. I hope your Sunday treated you well. See you tomorrow!

  1. I thought you would like the Z bars! the blueberry is my least favorite, I think you will enjoy the peanut butter one too!

  4. I have fallen hard for the z bars…yum…the Chocolate Chip, the brownie and the smore ones are AWESOME. The sams club near me only had a variety pack with the brownie, chocolate chip, and honey graham (haven’t tried this one so kinda iffy).
