    I'm Lauren and this is a blog dedicated to living life with a healthy balance. I love to run, strength train, bike and just be downright active. I'm a marathoner as of April 24, 2010 and am currently looking forward to qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

    I absolutely love to eat and enjoy great food but doing it all in moderation. You'll see healthy, organic foods on here frequently but you'll also run into things such as pizza and sweets. I believe you can have it all... just not all at once.

    I'm always learning and discovering new foods, recipes, workouts and ways to live a healthy lifestyle. Join me on my journey towards becoming my healthiest self.

Sucky Timing

I am so disappointed! We got home last night and my back bike brake came undone! So no riding into work for me this morning. And it was the perfect weather for biking this morning. No wind, clear skies and 63 degree temperatures! Hopefully we’ll get it fixed soon.

I was happy to sleep most of the night last night with not waking up 2 or 3 times like I usually do. But I did wake up at 2:15 this morning thirsty as all get out. I guess the sodium in our pizza got to me. I haven’t felt that thirsty in a good while. So I guzzled two glasses of H2O and hit the hay again and before I knew it, my alarm was screaming at me to get up at 5 a.m.

And then before I knew it, I was at work and it was already time for a little breakfast. A peanut butter homemade granola bar please!

Alright, gotta run! Hopefully I’ll see you around lunch time! Hope your day has started off great!

  4. Getting up at 5 am!! That scares me.

    We have to get up at about 3:00 for our flight tomorrow morning, and I am petrified. I need my sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!
