Valentine’s Brunch

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!  I hope everyone is taking advantage of enjoying this special day, whether you’re single, married, dating!  It’s a super fun holiday and the best excuse to eat chocolate ALL DAY!

I woke up this morning to get ready for a surprise brunch that the hubs had planned for us.  We headed to Proof on Main for a intimate brunch and it definitely did not disappoint.

Chad and I love Proof on Main but we hadn’t been since our 2 year anniversary over a year and half ago!  We had been hearing that their breakfast was equally as amazing as their dinners so the hubs decided this was the perfect day to try it out.

I stepped way out of my little food box today and ordered the PROOF BENEDICT grit cakes, newsom’s ham, arugula and fonduta.  I’ve never had eggs benedict before so the hubs pushed me to try it.  I was going to go with a fruit salad but alas, I stepped out and tried something new and totally different to my kind of ‘normal’.  Definitely pleased!

I ended up only eat one because it was SOOO rich and decadent! Chad happily consumed the other one.

Look at what the hubs splurged on.

HAZELNUT FRENCH TOAST whipped cream, fresh citrus.

This place is divine and I love it.

It’s still so cold here that I wanted a cup of hot chocolate when I got home to warm up with!  We skipped on dessert at Proof so we could splurge tonight at our dinner so I enjoyed every sip of my chocolatey warm goodness.

I’m off to relax for a little while before church and then it’s off to our Valentine’s Dinner at Napa River Grill.  Can’t wait!  Tell someone you love them today…

  1. that looked amazingly good! We ended up with pancakes at the Cupboard REstuarnat after our night out. Good, but not as appetizingly looking as your brunch! Happy Valentiens Day!

  2. I’m new to your blog, but I am so glad I stopped by. Your breakfasts look out of this world! It does look cold out from your first picture. I can’t wait to keep reading more. Have a great dinner!

  3. Proof looks like a great restaurant! I love how balanced you seem to be in your eating style! Great blog
