I'm Lauren and this is a blog dedicated to living life with a healthy balance. I love to run, strength train, bike and just be downright active. I'm a marathoner as of April 24, 2010 and am currently looking forward to qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

I absolutely love to eat and enjoy great food but doing it all in moderation. You'll see healthy, organic foods on here frequently but you'll also run into things such as pizza and sweets. I believe you can have it all... just not all at once.

I'm always learning and discovering new foods, recipes, workouts and ways to live a healthy lifestyle. Join me on my journey towards becoming my healthiest self.

Cake Balls Finished!

Alright, I know y’all are all dying to find out the last few steps and see the last few pictures of the cake ball process that I started to blog about last night.

F) Melt chocolate pieces of your choice (we used plain chocolate).

G) Dip cake balls into melted chocolate.

H) Let Cool.

I) EAT and ENJOY!

They are so divine that it’s insane! I’m going to have a really hard time not eating all of them.

Anyway, alright, I gotta get my mind off the cake balls. The rest of the day proved to be nothing too excited. I ate another pear! Love those things! I’m excited to buy some at the store next time we go. How did I never know about that goodness? I guess I really have lived in a box all my life when it comes to food.

The hubs and I ate grilled barbeque chicken, green beans and oven roasted seasoned potatoes. I love when Chad does those! No bread because we had the potatoes as a starch. After dinner is when I dove into the chocolate cake balls and was proud that I ate only two. But now the hubs is finishing up the second part of the batch and dipping them in more chocolate. Sheesh. We’re going to be on sugar overload!

Countdown is T-2 days until I’m on a jet plane to Las Vegas!!! I can’t wait! Girls trip = much needed. Good food, good drink, good shopping and the best of friends! So I have much to do tomorrow after work to get ready to go since I have to work 8 hours on Thursday before I fly out so I don’t have mucho time to pack and prepare!

Alright, maybe I’ll start getting packed up tonight now that I think about all I have to do… see you all tomorrow. And I promise, the cake balls are well worth the calories and sugar!! You will die over them! 🙂
